About

This is an invitation to all members of the body of Christ to pray in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's repent, love well, and draw nearer to the Lord together.

As the body of Christ, we are never called to be overly concerned with predictions and anxiety. The depth of God's command to love him and love others is not heightened by current events. Eternal condemnation because of our sin existed far before this more tangible reality of death ever came our way. Our God who saved us by his faithfulness and grace and mercy alone is the same God in control of this pandemic.

Nevertheless, we are facing the greatest global challenge since World War II. Let us engage in wartime prayer against the real invisible enemy.

Let us go before the Lord in prayer with a posture of humility, taking our worries to Him and interceding for the people around us who are hopeless. Let us unify as one body, whose head is Christ alone. Let us set our eyes upon Jesus.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:6-7

My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep your law. - Psalm 119:36

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. - Colossians 2:8-10
